The Bagnell Dam River Park, located at the former American Legion Post site below Bagnell Dam, is expected to open soon.
This development will have a figure-eight demolition race track, with the first race on May 15. Bleachers for 1,500 will be installed.
There will be a drive-in movie theatre, that will be open on both Thursday and Friday nights.
The River Park Zip-line will be another attraction. You can test your fear of heights and enjoy swinging through the trees. This zip line goes 1,500 feet to the first landing and 800 feet back.
Later this year, guests will be able to take a hovercraft ride down the Osage River. Future plans for the park consist of bull riding, horse shows and Bluegrass Festivals. For additional information, go to: www.bagnelldamriverpark.com
