Route 42 in Miller County will be improved under a contract awarded today by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.
Shoulders along a 20-mile stretch of the route will be widened and paved, and rumble strips will be installed. The project will begin later this year and is expected to be completed by summer 2013.
APAC-Missouri, Inc. of Columbia was awarded the $1.87 million contract for the work.
