Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Cinco de Mayo is a voluntarily observed holiday that commemorates the Mexican army's victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. While Cinco de Mayo may have limited significance nationwide in Mexico, the date is observed in the United States and other locations around the world as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.
At the Lake, we celebrate nachos and margaritas today. We do that on other days too, but today is the "official" day to enjoy the great Mexican foods and drinks.
