The west end of Osage Beach Parkway will be a little brighter at night thanks to a decision by the board of aldermen last week.
The board approved a contract with Gerstner Electric, Inc., of Fenton, Mo., in the amount of $308,751 to install street lights along the parkway from Rt. KK to Lazy Days Road. City Engineer Nick Edelman said the city wants to start the project as soon as possible since the Expressway is now complete, and this section of the road is dark.
This involves the old Highway 54/Osage Beach Parkway, not the Expressway.
