 Here are the real estate sales statistics for the Lake of the Ozarks from January 1 through August 31.

Waterfront homes: There have been 373 sales of waterfront homes so far this year which is a 14% increase from 2011. Total sale volume is up over $13,000,000. Bank owned waterfront home sales are up 31% compared to last year at this time. Bank owned sales make up approximately 10% of all waterfront home sales.

Off-water homes: Sales of off-water homes number 416 which is slightly lower than 2010. Total sales volume is down $7,000,000. The number of off-water bank owned sales has increased 8.5% and now stands at nearly 40% of all off water home sales.

Condominiums: Sales of condos has increased by 4% from this time last year and volume is only slightly higher. Bank owned condo sales are down roughly 40% from the the same period last year. Bank owned sales are approximately 7% of the condo market.

Overall sales: Sales of homes, condos, villas, land, commercial and farms so far this year number 1,241 which shows a 3% increase in the number of transactions from last year. Overall sales volume is up approximately 2% from 2010. Bank owned sales for 2011 number 251, which is a 6% rise from last year.

2008: 1,490 sales - $319,654,357 in volume

2007: 2,224 sales - $478,240,357 in volume
