Here are real estate statistics comparing the first 7 months of 2011 to the first 7 months of 2010.

Waterfront Home Sales: Waterfront home sales number 292 so far in 2011 with a total volume of $89,200,000. This compares to 258 closed waterfront home sales in 2010 with a total volume of $83,800,000.

Off-water Home Sales: Off-water closings for 2011 number 366, down slightly from 377 in 2010. Volume for 2011 is $36,360,000 vs. $41,400,000 for 2010.

Residential Bank Owned Sales: Bank owned sales are up in 2011 to 175, compared to 154 in 2010.

Condominium Sales: There have been 235 condo closings so far in 2011 with a volume of $37,800,000. Closings of condos in 2010 numbered 232 at this point with a volume of $$38,600,000.

All Property Type Sales: There have been 1,019 real estate closings on all property types (residential, condo, commercial, land, farms, etc.) so far in 2011 with a volume of $176,600,000. The first 7 months of 2010 resulted in 1,001 total sales with a volume of $179,300,00.

All Property Type Bank Owned Sales: The first 7 months of 2011 has resulted in 217 bank owned closings compared to 199 in 2010. There were 98 bank owned closings in 2009 and 44 in 2008.

Current Inventory at the Lake:

Residential: 2,184

Condos: 1,096

Lots and Land: 1,811

Farms: 88

Commercial: 374
