The Berra's Lake of the Ozarks Real Estate Blog

There are a lot of good things happening at the Lake of the Ozarks! There is a proposed Senior Housing Development on the Northshore off of Highway W. Beacon Point Villas will be comprised of 78, one-story villas for the 62 and over crowd. The two bedroom villas will rent for only $550.00 per month, making this a very affordable avenue for retirement/senior living. A new strip center has been completed in Eldon, along with a new Central Bank facility and a new Casey's Store. A small strip center is under construction in Mead's Flats on Highway 54. There is a full service car wash under construction on Highway 54 in Osage Beach. First National Bank opened a new facility in Camdenton, not far from Wal-Mart. The American Center is a new strip center recently completed in Camdenton. The Highway 54 Expressway is really taking shape.

There is also some "not-so-great" news. Eldon has lost two of their automobile dealers. Both Lakeway Ford and Lloyd Belt Motors have shut down their operations recently. Menard's, (the large home improvement center) that was to open in Lake Ozark has been put on hold. Pasta House Restaurant has been closed for several months, but I am not sure if they are reopening.
