Yacht Club Marina to undergo relocation, expansion
LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. – Yacht Club Marina may soon be sporting a brand new facility, and a new address to go along with it.
Formula Boats of Missouri and Yacht Club Marina both have a reputation on the Lake of the Ozarks for premier quality of sales and service. And it is no wonder: they are owned by the same parent company, B & B Marine. Now, plans are in motion to begin an expansion of Yacht Club Marina, which would mean setting sail from its current location at Mile Marker 21 and landing just around the corner from Formula Boats, at Mile Marker 1 of the Grand Glaize Arm.
The two marinas would make for complementary neighbors. Formula Boats of Missouri is the state’s only authorized Formula sales and service dealer, offering new and pre-owned boats across a broad price range. Yacht Club Marina specializes in Sea Doo and Can Am (ATV) vehicles, carrying a full line of BRP products.
Chad Neubauer works in management at Formula Boats, and he said, as it stands now, B & B Marine has sold the property where Yacht Club Marina currently sits, but the marina may not relocate for some time. The company hopes to build its new, state-of-the-art facility just off Passover Road. B & B Marine has begun clearing trees in that area, but Neubauer emphasized that an exact location has not yet been finalized. He said B & B Marine is currently working with the City of Osage Beach to obtain proper permits and settle on a spot.
When asked about the reason for the move, Neubauer said Yacht Club Marina is seeking to improve all facets of its Sea Doo/Can Am business. The planned motorsports facility, he said, will set a new standard in central Missouri: “Sales, service, parts, everything... the quality will be improved.”
Until then, Yacht Club Marina will continue to offer its acclaimed sales and service at the facility on Mile Marker 21, but with its eye on an expanding horizon, eager for bigger and better things to come.
